Five kinds of mediaand you choose which ones you see

Each kind tracked the way a dedicated app would.

A book is not a movie and a game is not a TV show, so Omniphile does not treat them alike.

Games

Tracked by playthrough, so a replay never overwrites the first run.

  • Playthroughs with their own platforms and play time
  • A play timer that keeps running in a Live Activity
  • Imports from HowLongToBeat, GameTrack and Minimap

Movies

Rated, shelved and counted, with every rewatch kept.

  • Ratings on 5 or 10 stars, down to the quarter star
  • Theatrical and digital release dates in one calendar
  • Imports from Letterboxd, IMDb and Trakt

TV shows

Followed episode by episode, rewatches included.

  • A Watch Next queue that always knows your next episode
  • Widgets for upcoming releases and what to watch next
  • Two-way Trakt sync, plus imports from TV Time and more

Books

Tracked by readthrough, so a reread is a second readthrough.

  • Each readthrough keeps its own dates and reading sessions
  • A reading timer for the session you are in
  • Imports from Goodreads, StoryGraph or any CSV file

Audiobooks

Tracked by readthrough too, with every relisten kept and counted.

  • Its own kind in your library, not a footnote to books
  • Counted in your statistics alongside everything else
  • Rated on the same 5- or 10-star scale, down to the quarter star

Collections that fill themselves

Smart collections follow rules you set, beside ordinary collections and tags.

Synced, and not locked in

Premium keeps your library in step across devices through iCloud. Movies and shows also sync two ways with Trakt.

A community, if you want one

Public profiles, reviews and comments, all off unless you turn them on.

Coming from another app?

Omniphile imports from the apps you already use, so you do not have to start from zero. Movies and shows come over from TV Time, IMDb, Trakt, Letterboxd and Sofa Time; books from Goodreads, StoryGraph or any CSV file; games from HowLongToBeat, GameTrack and Minimap; and Sequel and Sofa bring your whole library. Coming from Nook or ReadTracker? Your library moves across too.

If you saved a TV Time export before that service closed in July 2026, the TV Time migration guide walks through it — and if you did not, here is where to go next. Coming from IMDb, the IMDb guide covers exporting your ratings and watchlist.

Frequently asked questions

What is Omniphile?

Omniphile is a native iOS and iPadOS app for tracking movies, TV shows, books, audiobooks and games in one library. You follow shows episode by episode, books and audiobooks by readthrough, and games by playthrough, keep everything organized by status, rate on a 5- or 10-star scale with half- and quarter-star precision, and turn it all into detailed statistics. It is free to download, with an optional Premium tier.

What happened to Cinephile?

Cinephile is now Omniphile. It is the same app on the same App Store listing, so your library, ratings, iCloud sync and Premium subscription carry over untouched. Alongside movies and TV shows it now tracks books, audiobooks and games, and you choose which of the five appear in the app.

How is Omniphile different from Sequel or Sofa?

Sequel and Sofa also keep several kinds of media in one place, and Sequel's look is close to Omniphile's. The difference is depth: Omniphile tracks each kind as fully as a dedicated app would, with episode-level progress, readthroughs, playthroughs, timers, statistics across everything, an Apple Watch app and an optional community. You can bring your library over from either app.

Which platforms are supported?

Omniphile is currently focused on iOS and iPadOS, with plans to expand support over time.

Can I sync my library across devices?

Yes. With Premium, Omniphile keeps your whole library in sync across your devices through iCloud. Movies and TV shows can also sync two ways with Trakt.

Can I request features?

Absolutely. Use the Feedback section to submit ideas and vote on what should be built next.

What import options are supported?

You can import movies and TV shows from TV Time, IMDb, Trakt, Letterboxd, Sofa Time, Refract, Bingers and SuiteTV; books from Goodreads, StoryGraph, ReadTracker or any CSV file; games from HowLongToBeat, GameTrack, Minimap and Nook; and your whole library from Sequel or Sofa. For TV Time and IMDb, please follow the migration guides here:

I used TV Time — can I still bring my data over?

TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026. If you saved a TV Time data export before that date, Omniphile can import it — see the TV Time Migration Guide. If you didn't, that history is no longer recoverable from TV Time, but rebuilding in Omniphile is quick: set a show to the episode you had reached and everything before it is marked as watched. TV Time shut down: where to track your shows now

Is Omniphile free?

The app includes a free experience with optional Premium features.

How can I support Omniphile?

You can support development by sharing the app, leaving a review, and subscribing to Premium features if possible.
